Serving on the CENTRL Alumni Council is an honor and great opportunity to continue a direct association with Project CENTRL through applied leadership practice. The Council has three main goals:
1.) Networking. To provide an opportunity for Alumni to network together. An ideal vehicle to accomplish this has been the recent introduction of the CENTRL Regional Connection meetings that are held regionally around the state. The meetings are typically held in a luncheon format that is convenient for member participation using an interactive agenda. In addition, a semi-annual event is held that has a broader time frame and purpose.
2.) Recruitment. We assist in the solicatation of applicants for Project CENTRL. As Alumni, who could be better to identify and encourage the application for CENTRL training. The CRC meetings provide a convenient format for positive interaction among Alumni and the indtroduction of potential applicants to the CENTRL experience.
3.) Fund Raising. Over time, the cost of maintaining the high quality of CENTRL training will grow and the need for financial support will also grow. The Alumni have the potential to provide a larger share of the capital resources necessary to maintain Project CENTRL as a premier rural leadership training program. It is the responsiblity of the Council to create awareness of financial needs and opportunites for support amoung our fellow Alumni. Through the CRC meetings, newsletter and website we can call on our growing numbers to play a larger role in the financial support of Project CENTRL.
In order to provide positive support to Project CENTRL, the Council serves as a refection of the training program and the highest ideals of leadership training and practice. As a Council member, you are encouraged to use your Council term as a vehicle to put into practice your leadership skills to better serve your community, county and state.
