Bio
Philip Richards is a Senior Analyst for the Water Strategy Team at Salt River Project located in Tempe, Arizona. He is a professional engineer licensed in the States of Arizona and Colorado. Philip has over 17 years of experience in water resource management. He is currently working with several organizations, including the Governor’s Water Augmentation Council, the Multi-State Salinity Coalition and the Arizona-Mexico Commission, finding innovative solutions to meet Arizona’s most difficult water challenges. Before moving to Arizona he served as the Engineering Manager for a Colorado municipal water district. As Engineering Manager, Philip was responsible for both short term and long range water planning. He also oversaw the capital improvements within the District, which included a new 75,000 acre-foot reservoir and a state-of-the-art water treatment plant. In his spare time, Philip enjoys kayaking the Verde and Salt Rivers and mountain biking the amazing Arizona trails.
