Completed Bachelor of Science (Agricultural Education 1970) and Master of Science (Education 1985) at the University of Arizona. Member of Bobcats senior honorary and President of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at the University of Arizona. Outstanding Graduate Student in the College of Agriculture (1985). Graduate, Robert A. Taft Institute of Government (1985) and the Center for Rural Leadership program (1984-1986). Interests in retirement include family activities, photography, travel and volunteerism. Tom and Diana (Turley) married in 1970. They have two sons, Matthew (Jenny) and Andrew, and four grandchildren (Luke, Joshua, Casey, Ashley).
