Bio
Karen (Rogers) Coppola was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Safford, Arizona when she was 4 years old. Karen graduated from Safford High School in 1977, Eastern Arizona College in 1979 (where she met her husband, Brian Lee Coppola) and Lamson Business College in 1981. Her careers in the Gila Valley have included Sprouse Reitz, Eastern Arizona College Bookstore, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Safford, City of Safford and she's been employed at Eastern Arizona College as the Capital/Chief accountant for 9 ½ years. She also graduated from Gila Valley Leadership and Dale Carengie Course where she received the nickname Karen Coppola from Pepsi-Cola for her 21-year employment there and the rhyming of her last name. She was campaign manager for her sister and husband when they ran for office.

She and Brian will celebrate 35 years of marriage in December 2017 and have two children, Cameron and Mikaela, both in their 20s. Their home is filled with three dogs Big Foot, Zoey and Cooper and one cat, Cisco Oreo. They love that old time rock-n-roll and average 15 or more concerts a year. She is a photographer that loves capturing memories by taking pictures. She has a little poem she hopes to be remembered by: “My life has been a journey, my memories are in a book, the legacy I’ll leave behind, are the pictures that I took.” Karen is honored to be in Project CENTRL Class of XXVI.
