Bio
Kathy Dixon was born into a military family and moved frequently as a child. In Arizona alone, she has lived in Duncan, Tucson, Sierra Vista and Yuma and numerous other locations in and out of the United States. She considers Mesa her home having lived there from 2nd grade to 7th grade and for the last twenty years. Kathy received a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics (Nutrition) from the University of Arizona and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Relations from Northern Arizona University. She has worked as a school lunch director and pediatric clinical dietitian and is currently a clinical professor at Arizona State University. Her passion is encouraging others to enjoy cooking and eating a wide variety of foods.
