Ian McGaughey is a local government professional who values making a positive difference in his community. He currently serves as the Deputy County Administrator for Yuma County, Arizona.

Born in Virginia, Ian has lived in many different parts of the country, including New York, Washington, DC, Arkansas, California, Vermont, Alaska and finally Arizona, where he has lived and worked for eight years now.

Ian’s broad range of professional experience includes having served in local government as both an elected official and a management professional in Tribal, town, city and county government. Prior to working for Yuma County, he was the City Manager of Somerton, Arizona and Town Manager of Clifton, Arizona. His experience in the private sector includes small-business ownership, television news and production, and community outreach work.

He enjoys road trips (having visited all of the 48 contiguous states by age 32), hiking, and playing the electric bass.
