Tim Skarupa is the Surface Water Lead with the Salt River Project (SRP), a community-based not-for-profit water and power utility headquartered in Tempe, AZ. As a senior hydrologist for most of his twenty-three years at SRP, Tim focuses on hydrologic data analysis, water resource planning, event based and seasonal streamflow forecasting, water emergency reservoir operations, and reservoir operations in support of the sustainable management of the seven reservoirs operated by SRP. Prior to becoming the Surface Water Lead, Tim spent three years as a senior analyst in SRP's Water Rights and Contracts department. He completed water assessments for the water users in the upper Salt Watershed and provided technical analysis on assigned contested cases in support of the General Stream Adjudication. Tim enjoys road trips to the mountains and hiking. He has also coached high school football for six years and hopes to coach again in the future. Tim holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and completed the Water Masters Certificate Program at Arizona State University.
