Bio
Rhesa Poolaw is a native to Arizona. Growing up a pastor's kid she's had her experience of diversity by moving often as a child to different rural reservations across the western United States where her parents would establish churches. Being an enrolled tribal member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes located along the beautiful Colorado River in Parker, AZ. Family has always been important to Rhesa, and you know the saying "It takes a village" well it truly does. So, when deciding to make Parker her permanent home it was an easy choice to make to raise her four children where she surrounded by family, culture and mother earth. She has a compassion for people, especially children. Being employed with La Paz County Assessor's office as the Chief Appraiser/ Backup Systems Administrator this has given her firsthand insight to the rural county needs when it comes to the community. This has sparked a deeper passion in her to want to help in any way she can. Coming from a military family, she joined the American Legion, which gives her the opportunity to be a part of local food drives, toy drives, meals on wheels that they conduct. Giving back no matter how big or small makes a difference. When she's not carpooling one of her children to some sporting practice, you'll find her enjoying some down time on the river!
