Bio
A native Arizonan, Alisha Phipps has always been interested in the outdoors, the land and livestock. Early on she was involved with FFA (Future Farmers of America) and followed her dreams of working with the land to the University of Arizona where she majored in Natural Resources, with an emphasis in Rangeland Management. For 16 years Alisha has been a Rangeland Management Specialist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Her work area covers Santa Cruz, Pima, Pinal and parts of Cochise and Gila Counties. She works with ranchers to help them understand the natural resources on their land, make better management decisions, and implement sound management practices.

In her free time, Alisha and her boyfriend run his family’s ranch which is a cow/calf operation encompassing 25,000 acres in Pima County. They have also been expanding the operation to provide natural raised beef to consumers. Alisha is also a proud mother to her daughter Bailey. Together they love riding and working their ranch horses.

A strong believer of being involved and giving back to the community Alisha volunteers every year with the Marana FFA chapter to help coach high school Ag students and with the Tucson Rodeo Parade as a Horseback Marshal. She is also a board member for the Arizona Section of the Society for Range Management (SRM) who hosts biannual meetings, workshops and tours.
