We invite you to join us for an interactive presentation to learn more about the Civic Language Perception Project. You will receive a presentation of the results of people's perceptions of language associated with civic engagement and democracy work. We will be highlighting some of the takeaways on how Arizona compares to national findings. We want to hear from you and other community leaders on your perceptions on the surveyed language. We will gain deeper insight into how the vocabulary of democracy is used in different communities in the country and our state.
This event is open to all community leaders, Project CENTRL alumni, friends and colleagues. In collaboration with the Arizona Civic Life Partnership, led by the Arizona Center for Civic Leadership at the Flinn Foundation and the Center for the Future of Arizona, Vitalyst Health Foundation sponsored an oversample of 601 Arizona residents to look more closely at how Arizonans, specifically, perceive and associate civic language. With the national data and the Arizona data in hand, we can see some interesting takeaways and themes emerge through a series of data visualizations.
More background info of the study from Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement (PACE) released data accessible via an interactive dashboard and an infographic series.
